925 reclaimed

a collection designed through repurposing silver scrap metal

I've always had a passion for repurposing materials. This passion started as a hobby when I would take apart old costume jewelry and reuse glass beads and plastic charms to create something new and wearable.

Now after spending the last few years earning my BFA in jewelry design, I've been exposed to new and elevated materials, like sterling silver.

I’ve discovered great joy in melting down metal. when heating up silver, at the right temperature it will melt and flow into a ball, a little cluster, a droplet.  I love this process; I enjoy watching the metal liquify and I love manipulating it when it’s in this fluid state. From this little melted glob of silver, I hammer it, drill it or even remelt again and see what else I can do with it. This collection emphasizes this process. I melted down my metal and transformed it into charms, earrings, pendants and rings.

Another process that I've come to fall in love with is making chains. This is highlighted within the necklaces of the collection. Each necklace features a different style of jumpring or link to create the chain, while additionally including a reclaimed silver pendant.

please enjoy this collection of handmade jewelry, based on this process of recycling, repurposing and giving materials a chance to be new again, reclaimed.
